Erin Alibocus is a multidisciplinary artist based in Bath. She graduated from Bath Spa University in 2024 with a BA Hons degree in Fine Art where she was awarded the Bath Spa Start Scholarship for Outstanding Talent in Creative Arts. Following university she was selected for the Emerge Studio Residency program two years running, where she continues to base her practice. Her work has been exhibited in The Graduate Show at Woolff Gallery in London (2024), Wells Contemporary (2025) and a number of other UK exhibitions. Her work is also held in the permanent collection of Bath Spa University.
She explores themes of individuality and play, with familiar objects and shapes. Alibocus incorporates these images into a conceptual visual language, which draws on experiences both intimately personal, while at the same time, universal. She investigates the experience of entering adulthood- a familiar feeling of wanting to stay young, alongside the pressure to keep up and find your way. Minimised to form, fold and line, these pieces attempt to connect the child’s world of imagination and possibility with the adult world of repetition, plan and design.
